“3” small LICKS to improvise a thrilling BLUES (& JAZZ) solo

With only 3 little licks (motifs) we improvise a thrilling Blues solo with Soul & Jazz inspiration. The idea is that we just transpose our 3 small licks to different keys and we can improvise over for example an entire 12 bar blues chord progression.

In a previous lesson we derive the same 3 motifs from a specific jazz phrase and we exercise the motifs in a modal context together with a backing track: https://youtu.be/xR9WiD-jKW0

The left hand chords used in this lesson are explained further in this lesson: https://youtu.be/terR7sZL7m4
